Rivers State University Recognizes Philanthropic Contribution

In a commendable display of appreciation, Rivers State University (RSU) has honoured Dr. Doodei Week with a prestigious Gold Level Sponsor Award in recognition of his significant support towards the institution’s 1st Agricultural Research Conference 2025 (RSU-ARC 2025). The special award was formally presented to Dr. Week during a courtesy visit to his office in Port Harcourt by members of the RSU-ARC 2025 Conference Organizing Committee.

Award Presentation by Conference Chairperson

Leading the delegation was Professor Caroline O. Elewa, Chairperson of the RSU Agricultural Research Conference Committee. She presented the award plaque to Dr. Week as a token of the university's appreciation for his outstanding philanthropic contributions to the success of the upcoming conference. Prof. Elewa praised Dr. Week’s dedication to agricultural development and his unwavering support for academic research aimed at enhancing food security, sustainable agriculture, and technological advancement in the region.

Committee Members Present at the Event

The presentation was witnessed by key members of the conference committee who accompanied Professor Elewa. These included Dr. W.S. Sinbi-Wellington, the committee secretary; Dr. Rachael Morris, Chairperson of the Fundraising Subcommittee; and Dr. Dukubofa Amachree, a member of the committee. Each of them expressed gratitude to Dr. Week for his generosity and commitment to the mission of the conference.

In his response, Dr. Week expressed heartfelt appreciation to the university’s management and the conference organizers for the honour.
