The African Democratic Congress (ADC), a political party that has consistently failed to establish a meaningful presence in Nigeria’s democratic space, has once again embarrassed itself with a poorly veiled attempt to distort reality. In a recent statement filled with baseless accusations, the ADC claims that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government is reacting out of fear to a so-called "opposition coalition." It is laughable that a party with no structure, no leadership credibility, and no national appeal believes it has the political clout to unseat a government with the strength, vision, and momentum of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

No Substance, No Strategy, No Chance

It is quite ironic that the ADC—whose electoral performance has never risen above political irrelevance—is accusing the Tinubu administration of panic. A party that has never produced a governor, a senator, or even a significant presence in any state assembly is now parading itself as the force behind policy direction at the federal level. This is not just a joke; it’s a tragicomedy. The truth is clear: ADC lacks not only structure but also the moral weight to speak on national governance.

The claim that the government was “sitting on its hands while Nigerians starved” is the height of irresponsible political propaganda.

This so-called “united opposition” coalition is nothing but a gathering of defeated politicians, opportunists, and political merchants looking for relevance ahead of 2027. Their alliance is based on mutual desperation, not shared ideology or vision. Nigerians can see through this and will not be deceived.
