The event was the final day of 4 days of impactful ways to celebrate a great leader, Dr Samuel Ogbuku' who has done so much in bringing great changes to the entire NIGER Delta region.

Various categories of women with disabilities that benefitted from the kind gesture by Hon. Timi Ziriki 

The skills include soap making, detail, car air freshener, perfumes, cream, izal, insecticide etc. and they were empowered with necessary chemicals to enable them produce the various products they were taught to produce and make money that will help them become financially independent and fulfill their destinies.

The participants celebrated Dr Samuel Ogbuku' in a grand style by changing happy birthday to the celebrant. It was an emotional moment seeing the cripples, the drags, the dumb, albinos etc singing from the deepest parts from their hearts. 

Hon. Timi Ziriki on her part motivated the beneficiaries to make good use of their newly acquired skills to become better persons in society.

On their part, various beneficiaries thanked Hon. Timi Ziriki for impacting positively on their lives and pray for God to guide and protect her for the kind gestures she displayed for changing their lives

The event was the grand finale of a 3 days programme of impactful Empowerment programme.

As part of the celebration marking his 50th birthday, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), is being honored with an extraordinary empowerment initiative. The program, tagged D.S.O @ 50 Skills Acquisition Training, is designed to support 50 women with disabilities, underscoring a deep commitment to inclusivity, human capital development, and sustainable empowerment.

Dr. Samuel Ogbuku’s life and career reflect a journey of dedicated service, visionary leadership, and an unyielding desire to transform the Niger Delta. Empowering Women through Skills Acquisition

The three-day training program, scheduled for August 14th–16th, 2025, today is being held at GSS Yenizue Epie, Saptex Junction by Express Way, from 12:00 pm. The training is tailored to equip women with disabilities with practical skills and entrepreneurial knowledge that will enhance self-reliance, economic independence, and social inclusion. Participants are being empowered with tools that open pathways to sustainable livelihoods and long-term resilience.
