Whatever a man can conceive in his heart he can achieve. That's true of the present Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). Infact, across the entire region, the quality of ongoing road and drainage projects actually reflects a new era of excellence and accountability in public works exhibits by Chief (Dr.) Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer in NDDC deserve commendation by every right thinking Niger Deltan. 

What stands out most is the precision — from foundation preparation to asphalt laying and in every process bears the mark of professionalism and strict adherence to engineering standards recommend by the agency.

It is true that the roads are not just being built; they are being engineered for endurance. Proper compaction, solid base layers, and smooth alignments are ensuring that each project will stand the test of time for the next generation. The accompanying drainage systems are equally remarkable and well-reinforced, accurately graded from the top soil especially the debris, and designed to effectively channel stormwater, reducing erosion and improving overall safety for both motorists and pedestrians including other forms of road users.

Indeed, supervision on-site has been rigorous, with contractors maintaining discipline, order, and efficiency. The pace of work is matched by the quality of materials and the clarity of design which is a sign that Chief Dr Samuel Ogbuku's led NDDC  prioritizes value and sustainability over haste or cosmetic completion as seen from other areas.
