Dr. Samuel Ogbuku's leadership at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has brought significant transformations to the health sector in the Niger Delta region. Under his stewardship, the NDDC has prioritized healthcare access, launching impactful initiatives that have improved health outcomes for communities. One notable achievement is the revival of free healthcare programs, which have provided over 20,000 surgeries, attended to over 45,000 patients, and distributed essential medical supplies to rural areas>

A key highlight of Dr. Ogbuku's focus on health is the construction of the Regional Specialist Cardiovascular and Orthopaedic Hospital in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, aimed at providing specialized medical care in partnership with experts. Additionally, the NDDC has acquired and donated 13 ambulances to hospitals across the nine mandate states, enhancing emergency medical services. 
These efforts reflect Dr. Ogbuku's commitment to addressing healthcare gaps and improving the well-being of Niger Deltans.
