Eruani Azibapu Godbless, Chief Executive Officer of Azikiel Group of Companies, has paid a condolence visit to Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), following the passing of His Royal Highness Righteous Inegbagha, the Chief of Ayakoro Community in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The visit was marked by an atmosphere of empathy and solidarity, reflecting not only the deep bond between both men but also the enduring spirit of unity that defines the Niger Delta.
During the visit, Dr. Eruani extended his heartfelt condolences to Dr. Ogbuku and the people of Ayakoro, describing the late monarch as a man of peace, integrity, and uncommon foresight. He noted that the Chief’s leadership brought stability and development to his community, leaving behind a legacy of unity and progress that transcended his immediate domain. According to him, the loss was not only Ayakoro’s but that of the entire Ogbia Kingdom and the Niger Delta region as a whole.
Dr. Eruani also commended Dr. Ogbuku for demonstrating admirable strength and composure in the face of grief, describing such resilience as the hallmark of true leadership. He urged him to take solace in the enduring legacy of the late Chief, whose moral guidance and commitment to communal harmony would continue to inspire present and future generations. He added that the Chief’s contributions to peacebuilding and community advancement remain a shining example of selfless service and visionary leadership.
In his response, Dr. Ogbuku expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Eruani for his thoughtful visit and the show of solidarity during a time of mourning. He described the late Chief as a father figure and moral compass whose wisdom had long served as a pillar of strength to the Ayakoro community. He lamented that the void left by his passing would be difficult to fill but affirmed that his values of humility, peace, and communal service would continue to guide those dedicated to the progress of the community.
The visit stood as a poignant reflection of the compassion, mutual respect, and shared humanity that bind leaders across the Niger Delta. Beyond the formalities, it symbolized the importance of empathy and unity in leadership — qualities that sustain societies through both triumph and trial.
As the Ayakoro community continues to mourn its revered traditional ruler, Dr. Eruani’s visit to Dr. Ogbuku remains a powerful testament to friendship, solidarity, and the preservation of collective values. The late Chief’s legacy will endure as a beacon of integrity and service, reminding all that true leadership is measured not by position or power, but by the positive and lasting impact one leaves on the lives of others.
