On Tuesday, September 30th, at the newly commissioned Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, I had the privilege of joining the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Deputy Senatate President, the  Speaker of the House of Representatives, Progressive Governors, Cabinet Ministers, and the leadership of the ruling party, at the official launch and public presentation of the book “A Decade of Impactful Progressive Governance in Nigeria” authored by Governor Hope Uzodimma.

In 2015, the All Progressives Congress (APC) made history as Nigeria’s first successful opposition party to win the presidency.

A decade later, the record of that milestone is examined in this book, which provides a compelling, insider-informed assessment of the APC’s journey in power — tracing its origins, highlighting its achievements across key sectors, and reaffirming its commitment to the ideals of progressivism.

The book places the last ten years of APC leadership side by side with the sixteen years that preceded it, drawing careful comparisons rooted in research, political insight, and context. It challenges readers to critically engage with Nigeria’s evolving democratic experience and to reflect on how far the nation has come in shaping its political destiny.
