The Bayelsa State Annual Thanksgiving Service, initiated during the administration of former Governor Seriake Dickson, has become a unifying tradition and a hallmark of the state’s devotion to God. It is celebrated every year to express collective gratitude for peace, progress, and divine protection over the government and people of Bayelsa State. The event has since grown into one of the most significant religious gatherings in the Niger Delta, attracting dignitaries, clerics, and citizens from all walks of life.

Dr. Ogbuku and Dr. Week’s attendance at this year’s edition reflected their humility, faith, and commitment to the spiritual and moral foundation upon which the state continues to build its development agenda.
