Ben Okosughe,
Prince Doodei Week, Ph.D., Director of Procurement at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), once again demonstrated the depth of his character and leadership during the burial of the late monarch, HRM J. I. Igbagara, in Isoni Town. At the sidelines of the solemn event, he shared brief but meaningful moments with HRH Eseimokumo Ben Okosughe, Ogboin D XII—a gesture that reflected his unwavering respect for tradition, community, and the custodians of culture.
Wherever Dr. Week goes, his presence is unmistakable—not for pomp or loud declarations, but for the quiet strength, humility, and warmth that naturally accompany him. He is a leader who creates an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect, touching lives through simple gestures and sincere engagement. His calm disposition, even during moments of deep reflection such as the burial of a revered king, reveals a man deeply grounded in wisdom, discipline, and emotional intelligence.
This ability to remain composed while supporting his people speaks to one of the most admirable qualities of great leaders: the capacity to be present, compassionate, and purposeful in every environment. Prince Doodei Agbabou Week embodies these traits effortlessly. His interactions, no matter how brief, leave a lasting impression of kindness and leadership built on integrity and service.
In a time when true leaders are scarce, his example offers hope and reassurance. Dr. Week represents the kind of visionary whose actions speak louder than words, reminding us that leadership is not merely about holding positions but about positively influencing lives, upholding values, and honoring community bonds. For this, we are grateful to God for blessing the Niger Delta—and indeed the entire nation—with leaders like Prince Doodei Week, a genuine man of the people whose light continues to shine wherever he goes.
