On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, the legal landscape of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, witnessed a historic assembly as Dr. Samuel Ogbuku joined an elite circle of jurists and statesmen. The occasion—a valedictory court session and book presentation—honored the illustrious career of Hon. Justice Obietonbara O. Daniel-Kalio, OFR, upon his retirement from the Court of Appeal.
Dr. Ogbuku stood alongside distinguished figures, including:
H.E. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, immediate past Vice President of Nigeria.
Hon. Justice Mary Ukaego Peter Odili, retired Justice of the Supreme Court.

Over forty sitting Justices of the Court of Appeal and various legal luminaries.
