In a high-impact collaboration with Viendenburg Energy Resources, the Commission hosted the closing ceremony of the CNG Autogas Conversion Training, a program that stands as a testament to the visionary leadership of the Managing Director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku.

​As Nigeria navigates the complexities of energy transition, Dr. Ogbuku has positioned the Niger Delta not just as a spectator, but as a frontrunner. This training program equipped hundreds of youths with the technical expertise to convert internal combustion engines from petrol to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)—a cleaner, more affordable alternative.

​Under Ogbuku’s stewardship, the slogan "Making a Difference" has evolved from a mere catchphrase into a tangible reality. By focusing on "Green Skills," the NDDC is addressing two of the region's most pressing challenges simultaneously: youth unemployment and environmental sustainability.
